Representation of Indonesian Children's Politeness in an Animated Film: a Pragmatic Study

چکیده
This study aims to investigate Indonesian child politeness through speech represented by the character Susanti in animated film Upin-Ipin. The films Upin-Ipin are popular for children society. is considered be interesting because it a foreign featuring children's characters. presented as representation of multicultural Seeing this phenomenon, researcher further explore Susanti’s utterance context politeness. focuses on examining Susanti's based Leech's principles which consists six maxims. qualitative method used utilizes pragmatic approach an analytical tool. research data utterances were collected from eight events episodes film. source was uploaded Les'copaqe YouTube channel. results show that tens represent maxim wisdom. These children, especially preschool context, accordance with background Susanti. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah menginvestigasi kesantunan anak Indonesia melalui tuturan yang direpresentasikan oleh tokoh dalam animasi Upin dan Ipin. Film Ipin merupakan salah satu populer di masyarakat Indonesia. dikatakan menarik karena menjadi asing memunculkan karakter Tokoh dihadirkan sebagai representasi multikultural. Melihat fenomena itu, penulis menelaah lebih lanjut konteks kesantunan. Secara khusus, berfokus pada berdasarkan prinsip Leech terdiri atas enam maksim. Metode digunakan kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan pragmatik. Data ditemukan dari delapan peristiwa episode Ipintersebut. Sumber diambil kanal Youtube @lescopaque. Hasil menunjukkan, tutur Susanti, cenderung didominasi maksim kebijaksanaan. Dari hasil tersebut bahwa telah merepresentasikan Indonesia, khusus prasekolah sesuai latar belakang
